Member Programs

Throughout the year, the Trust staff provides members and their guests on the Balsam Mountain Preserve many avenues of learning, exploring, and adventure.

Some examples of programming offered to our members:

  • Summer Trust Talks – We bring in exciting speakers from the community and the natural resources industry to talk about different topics that relate to the Mountain, its surrounding forests, or animal neighbors.
  • On-site/Off-site Hikes – Every month there is at least one hike offered. The hike may be on the Mountain or it may be a field trip to surrounding trails for exploration. Past hikes have included Sugarloaf, Devil’s Courthouse, and Graveyard Fields.
  • Make Your Owns – We often provide opportunities for members to make their own (fill in the blank). Past Make Your Own events include meade, fire cider, and ornaments.

Check out our Members Only Calendar for upcoming events or to RSVP to an event!
